Why calculate before you trade

The two numbers most futures traders learn the hard way are their liquidation price and their true position size. A 10x long liquidates only about 9.5% below entry — far closer than most people assume — and position sizes picked by "feeling" are usually two or three times what a 1% risk rule allows. These calculators turn both numbers into five-second checks.

Simplifications to know

Liquidation prices use a single maintenance margin rate, while real exchanges apply tiered rates that grow with position size. Check your exchange's exact tiers for large positions. Nothing here is financial advice — trading crypto futures carries substantial risk of loss.
